BDA portrait series
The fourth BDA portrait is dedicated to Hilde Weström (1912-2013), one of the first female architects in the BDA.
On the initiative of architect Carola Schäfers, writer Erika Mühlthaler and filmmaker Fred Plassmann interviewed 17 Berlin architects and city planners from March 2011 until Januar 2017 as part of an extensive engagement with the 100 year old history of the BDA (Association of German Architects) Berlin.
Plassmann and Mühlthaler had the chance to interview the back then 100 year old Hilde Weström in her house in Berlin-Zehlendorf and ask her about her career, especially her engegament with social housing and her relationship with the BDA Berlin.
