Panorama imaginary

What distinguishes a German-Polish ‘Encounter’ School? Foresight, solidarity, crossing frontiers, tolerance and acceptance.

Roland Fuhrmann’s design for the opening of the Willy-Brandt-School in Warsaw: six lines floating through space. The lines are abstracted panoramas of mountain chains in areas with a specific historical, political or cultural value. Three Polish and three German landscapes serve as templates, but since they are changed into abstracted silhouettes you can’t really tell their origin anymore.
