Roland Korn

Today we present the first BDA portrait in full length. On the initiative of architect Carola Schäfers, writer Erika Mühlthaler and filmmaker Fred Plassmann interviewed 17 Berlin architects and city planners from March 2011 until Januar 2017 as part of an extensive engagement with the 100 year old history of the BDA (Association of German Architects) Berlin.

Roland Horn (born 1930) had a great influence on the architecture of former East Berlin; he was just recently awarded honorary member of the BDA Berlin. In the interview he talks a bout the position of the BDA in the German Democratic Republic and his work as principal architect of the GDR.
