City Night

Well-known as the site of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, which was severely damaged during World War II, Breitscheidplatz is the centre of Berlin’s “City West” – and as such hosts its annual Christmas market. Seen from above at night, it appears as one of the brightest areas in Berlin’s inner city.

The images for this video were taken from the terrace of the Europa Center. Using identical settings throughout, one photograph was taken every 30 seconds between 3:00 pm and 9 am.
