The extension of the Folkwang Museum

The extension of the Folkwang Museum consists of six volumes – concrete cubes with large windows from recycled glass – and four courtyards, gardens and galleries, forming an architectural building unit itself, which assumes almost the character of a meditation center for the visitors. With the spatial sequence lots of space with natural light can be created for the complex modern exhibitions of the internationally renowned museum.
