New Bauhaus Museum

This summer, the Berlin architect Heike Hanada (http://www.heikehanada.de/) and Benedict Tonon (http://www.b-tonon.de/) won the competition for the New Bauhaus Museum in Weimar. Hanada reports about the challenge to design a historically and spatially demanding location: the planning area is directly related to the erstwhile Nazi Gauforum which has little to offer atmospherically. And anyway, how to actually build a contemporary Bauhaus museum without a rebuild?
